Pesticide Risk Reduction in Bangladesh Project (DoF Component). Department of Fisheries invites Application for appointment of Contractual Staff. The consolidated pay will be provided as per the Letter of Agreement (LOA) provision. The required qualifications and experiences for the services are given below:

Letter of Agreement (LOA) Member
Consolidate pay: 30,000/- per month
Duration: 24 Man month or LOA Duration whichever comes earlier
Number of positions: 02 (Two)
Job Location: Project Focal Point Unit, HQ. DoF
Educational Qualification and relevant experiences
Masters in Fisheries/Marine Fisheries/ Environmental Science: Field oriented experience in safer fish processing especially fish drying technology development and/or demonstration, Excellent oral and written communication skills with local government national or international experts in English and well computer literate: Candidates having at least 3 (Three) year's job experiences with any university in relevant discipline or with relevant public/private institutes.

Responsibilities

• To plan and design surveys including the development of three survey questionnaires, each for dry fish producers, retailers/wholesalers, and consumers, aiming to identify ongoing and illegal use of or unintentional exposures to POPs pesticides: 
• Preparation of three survey reports in coordination with other LoA implementing staff: 
• Review of traditional fish drying practices based on a survey reports and suggest alternate safe fish drying practices for adoption by DoF: 
• Review existing regulations on chemicals residue controls in fish processing and develop a strategy report suggesting recommendations for eliminating or reducing pesticide exposures during dry fish processing, 
• Preparation of Field manuals and other visual materials as per LoA activities: 
• Prepare a Monitoring and financial plan for the quality of dry fish: 
• Development of a technical and financial plan for deployment
• of the selected technology for safe fish drying processes, and coordinate and monitoring of technology demonstration for safe fish drying processes in selected piloting areas: Manage, coordinate and implement all activities of the LOA of the project: Organizing Workshops. Training etc. to be held under the LOA: 
• Carry out any other activities as instructed by the Focal Point unit of DoF

Job Name: Data Analyst
Consolidate pay: 40,000/- per month
Duration: 24 Man month or LOA Duration whichever comes earlier
Number of positions: 01 (One)
Job Location: Project Focal Point Unit, HQ. DoF
Educational Qualification and relevant experiences

• Masters in Fisheries/Statistics/ Accounting/Commerce/ Business studies: 
• Minimum 02 (Two) years of relevant practical experience with any foreign aided project or international development organization or reputed multinational organization: 
• Having knowledge and skills in operating data analysis software programs like SPSS/GRE or other online data analytical programs etc. 
• Knowledge in general administration, personnel matters, procurement, inventory management, accounts, and cash management, taxes, VAT, and budgeting is essential.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, E-mail, and communication skills in English is preferable: 
• Adaptable to a multicultural and multidisciplinary team of experts and ability to provide quality logistic support under pressure and in stressful situations including interruptions and setbacks:

Responsibilities
Assist to Focal Point LOA Team Leader with all accounting matters (e.g., disbursements, record keeping, cash management, etc.): To analyze all survey data collected by Field researchers and proper interpretation of data analyses findings to prepare three survey reports. Ensure the management of the data file and the appropriate filing of the electronic and hard copies of the financial documents and reports: Prepare the monthly and periodic financial reports based on the accounting application agreed by DoF, with all necessary documentation. 

• Ensure regular monitoring of the bank account and LOA expenditures, Provide coordination and logistic support to procurements and accounts, books of accounts, auditing, payroll, etc
relating to LOA: 

• Prepare and submit financial reports as a part of LOA Progress reports: 

Maintain regular contact with the designated officials in both DoF and FAO on LOA financial issues: Carry out any other activities as instructed by the Focal Point unit of DoF
